Let us not forget that Eve did not use any other argument to convince Adam than that which the Serpent gave her. So, that shows that their personalities (Adam and Eve) were at the same level of development. They were both equally ignorant. Adam should have continued to comply with the will of God even if the argument in favor of eating from the tree of knowledge came from his wife.
